Investment: JMB S.A.
JMB S.A.
Headquartered in Port-au-Prince and incorporated in 1998, JMB is the second-largest fresh mango exporting company in Haiti. The Company generates revenues from selling USDA certified boxes of export quality fresh mangos into the Miami and New York Haitian Diaspora communities. Its mission is to work and develop close relations with local farmers in order to improve crop production while meeting international traceability requirements.
Why we invested
JMB’s management has been in the business since 1998. We were impressed with their vision and desire to improve the mango supply chain. Our investment will enable JMB to become the first Haitian company to export frozen mango chunks. This is not only a significant new market opportunity for them but also a chance to develop local freezing and refrigeration expertise. Through this investment we hope to increase the incomes of small-scale farmers as mangos that would normally have been rejected as fresh produce can now be frozen and exported.
