Partners
SEDF partners with promising local entrepreneurs and institutions, including foundations within the Open Society Foundations network, in order to leverage local knowledge and increase our chances of success. We seek like-minded co-investors and operating partners who can move at a similar pace and contribute complementary expertise on a transaction.
Over the years, SEDF has collaborated with several multi- and bi-lateral organizations. More recently we have established strong ties with private foundations and operating partners, including Omidyar Network, Gray Ghost Ventures, Humanity United, BRAC and the African Enterprise Challenge Fund.
SEDF also actively solicits expertise from local institutions and entrepreneurs who can contribute intimate local knowledge and provide access to key networks.
